The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly hosted a team from Clinton Gbangaba Consult for a comprehensive two-day assessment of the annual District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT), aimed at evaluating the Assembly's performance throughout the year 2022.
The evaluation of Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) forms an integral part of ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency, accountability, and delivery of essential community services by District Assemblies.
The assessment criteria encompassed three key indicators: compliance, social service delivery, and overall performance.
To announce the outcomes of the assessment, an exit conference was convened at the Municipal Assembly Hall. This gathering was graced by the presence of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Louis Owusu-Agyepong, the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Mohammed Abudu Yahaya, Heads of Departments/Units, and the diligent staff of the Assembly.
Mr. John Asibi Ali, the leader of the DPAT team, presented the thematic areas and their respective scores. He commended the Assembly, revealing that the overall performance for the 2022 assessment was a remarkable 97%, signifying exceptional achievement. Additionally, the Assembly successfully passed the Compliance Indicator (CI).
The team extended their appreciation to the Assembly's dedicated staff for their preparedness and punctuality during the assessment process.
In response, the MCE expressed his gratitude to the assessment team for their professionalism and guidance. He assured them that the Assembly would give due consideration to their recommendations in the execution of its duties. He concluded by acknowledging and appreciating the tireless efforts of the Assembly's staff in reaching this remarkable milestone.
