As part of measures to improve effective communication among stakeholders in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality, the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Global Media with support from UNDP organized a two-day workshop for six key staff leading communication activities in the Municipality.
It came to light that in this era of technological advancement, there was the need for Assemblies to use social media platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) in addition to the traditional means of communication at the local level which is cost effective and has a wider coverage.
At the end of the workshop the Assembly was able to reactivate its Facebook account to disseminate information on Assembly's activities.
