SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY RECEIVES 1000 CONDOMS FOR WORKERS' DAY HIV/AIDS AWARENESS DRIVE


In a proactive move to champion safe practices and raise awareness on HIV/AIDS prevention, the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has received a generous donation of 1000 condoms from the Ghana AIDS Commission. These condoms are earmarked for distribution during the upcoming Workers' Day Celebration.


The initiative seeks to underscore the significance of practicing safe sex and adopting preventive measures against the transmission of HIV/AIDS, particularly during large gatherings and celebratory events.


During a formal presentation ceremony, Mr. Bediako Agyeman, the Focal person for HIV/AIDS, and Mrs. Patience Appiah, the Gender Desk Officer of the Municipal Assembly, presented the condoms on behalf of the Commission to the Assembly.


Accepting the donation on behalf of the Assembly, Mr. Thomas Ofosu Oware, the Municipal HR Manager, expressed gratitude to the Ghana AIDS Commission for their substantial contribution.
