The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has taken a significant step towards enhancing recreational facilities by facilitating the handover of a site for the construction of an artificial turf. This initiative aims to provide residents with a modern sports facility to promote active lifestyles and community engagement.
This ceremonial handover marks the commencement of the artificial turf at the Sefwi Wiawso Roman Park.
The project consultant, Optimum Shelter Ltd, supported by Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Louis Owusu Agyepong, officially handed over the site to the contractor, Britz Engineering Solutions and Trading Limited.
The Contractor was reminded of the paramount importance of adhering to the contractual modalities, which encompassed factors such as progress reporting, stringent safety standards, the availability of personal protective equipment, and the promotion of local employment. The contractor was urged to mobilize to the project sites by the first week of May 2024 and ensure project completion by November 2024.
