In line with Section 40 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly held a Town Hall Meeting to discuss the preparation of the 2025 Annual Budget and Work Plan. The meeting, which took place at the Municipal Assembly Hall on 26th September, 2024, also served as a platform to review the 2024 budget and work plan performance as of September.
The event was structured into three main sessions. The first session featured brief speeches from key dignitaries, followed by a presentation on the Assembly’s 2024 Annual Work Plan and Budget performance, as well as projections for 2025. The final session was an interactive engagement, allowing the public to ask questions and make contributions, with responses provided by relevant Assembly officials, including the Municipal Chief Executive.
Moderation duties were handled by Mr. Christian Nkuah, the Municipal Budget Analyst, and Mr. Louis Aggrey, the Municipal Planning Officer.
This initiative reflects the Assembly’s commitment to transparency and public participation in local governance, ensuring that residents have a say in the planning and budgeting processes for the coming year.
