The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has officially commenced the 2026 community engagement exercise with visits to the Bowobra, Kyeamekrom and Apentemadi communities within the Municipality.

The engagement formed part of the Municipality’s commitment to promoting participatory governance, transparency, and inclusive development by creating a platform for direct interaction between local authorities and residents at the grassroots level.

During the engagements, residents and community leaders openly shared the challenges confronting their communities, including concerns related to infrastructure, education, roads, and access to basic social services. The sessions also provided an opportunity for residents to make suggestions and propose development priorities for consideration by the Municipal Assembly.

Hon. Dominic Gyasi assured the communities that the issues raised would be carefully reviewed and integrated into the Municipality’s development planning and implementation processes. He emphasized that community engagement remains a key tool for identifying real needs and ensuring that development interventions reflect the aspirations of the people.

The MCE further encouraged residents to continue supporting government initiatives and to actively participate in community development efforts aimed at improving living conditions across the Municipality.

The 2026 community engagement exercise is expected to continue in other communities as the Municipal Assembly intensifies efforts to strengthen stakeholder collaboration and improve service delivery.
