HON. DOMINIC GYASI MEETS REVENUE STAFF TO STRATEGIZE FOR 2026 REVENUE COLLECTION

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has met with revenue staff of the Municipal Assembly to strategize and strengthen revenue mobilization efforts ahead of the 2026 fiscal year.

The meeting provided a platform for management and revenue officers to review current revenue performance, identify challenges affecting revenue collection, and propose practical strategies to improve Internally Generated Funds (IGF). Key discussions focused on enhancing efficiency, widening the revenue base, improving compliance, and addressing operational constraints faced by revenue staff in the field.

Hon. Dominic Gyasi commended the revenue staff for their dedication and efforts despite the challenges encountered in revenue mobilization. He emphasized the critical role of internally generated revenue in supporting the Assembly’s development programmes and service delivery.

The MCE urged the staff to adopt innovative approaches, uphold professionalism, and work collaboratively to meet and exceed the 2026 revenue targets. He further mentioned that plans are far advanced to digitize the Municipality’s revenue mobilization processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

Hon. Dominic Gyasi also assured the revenue staff of management’s commitment to providing the necessary logistical and operational support to improve their effectiveness.
