Hon. Dominic Gyasi Leads Stakeholder Engagement on Proposed TVET Secondary School at Sefwi Boako.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, on Tuesday, 29th August, 2026 led a delegation from the Ministry of Education and the World Bank to Sefwi Boako for an engagement with traditional authorities, opinion leaders, community members and other key stakeholders on the proposed construction of a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Secondary School.
The engagement, held as part of preparations towards the implementation of the project, provided an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss the proposed school and its expected benefits to the community and surrounding areas.
Following the engagement, the Chief and his entourage generously allocated about 33 acres of land for the project, exceeding the 24 acres required for the construction of the school.
The delegation, together with community leaders and other stakeholders, subsequently inspected the allocated site to assess its suitability and advance preparations towards the commencement of construction.
Construction is expected to commence soon and is projected to be completed within 18 months.
The project is expected to contribute significantly to technical and vocational education by equipping young people with relevant skills and creating greater opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
The proposed TVET Secondary School is therefore expected to become an important addition to the educational infrastructure in the Municipality, providing young people with increased access to practical, technical and vocational training.
