HON. DOMINIC GYASI MEETS PRAGYIA EXECUTIVES OVER UNAUTHORISED FARE INCREASES

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has met with executives of the Pragyia Riders Association following information received by the Assembly that some Pragyia riders had increased their fares without recourse to the Assembly.

The meeting was aimed at addressing the concerns surrounding the alleged unauthorised fare increases and ensuring that fares charged by Pragyia riders are properly regulated and communicated to the public.

Hon. Dominic Gyasi expressed concern about the development and emphasised the need for riders to comply with the directives and regulations of the Municipal Assembly. He further urged the executives to engage their members and ensure that no rider arbitrarily increases fares.

The executives of the Pragyia Riders Association acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the MCE of their commitment to working with the Assembly to resolve the issue and ensure that approved fares are adhered to.
