HON. DOMINIC GYASI MEETS TIPPER TRUCK OPERATORS ASSOCIATION IN SEFWI WIAWSO

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, on Monday, 10th August 2026, met with members of the Tipper Truck Operators Association in the Municipality to discuss how they could support the Assembly in transporting boulders from Asante Gold Mines for the construction of the bypass road at Sefwi Dwenase.

The meeting focused on ways the Association could support the Assembly by providing tipper trucks to transport the boulders required for the ongoing construction of the bypass road, which is expected to improve road connectivity and ease traffic within the Sefwi Dwenase area.

Hon. Dominic Gyasi commended the operators for their willingness to support development initiatives in the Municipality and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Assembly and transport operators in ensuring the successful implementation of development projects.

The MCE also engaged the Association on other matters relating to the operations of tipper trucks involved in sand-winning activities within the Municipality. Discussions centred on the need for operators to adhere to the relevant rules and regulations governing their activities while ensuring that they pay their respective levies to the Assembly.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both the Assembly and the Tipper Truck Operators Association to discuss challenges associated with their operations and explore practical ways of strengthening collaboration for the benefit of the Municipality.
