MCE INSPECTS ASAWINSO – KOJINA ROAD AS RESHAPING WORKS BEGIN AHEAD OF PERMANENT RECONSTRUCTION

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi has inspected the deplorable Asawinso – Kojina road, which had become almost impassable and was causing significant difficulties for commuters, farmers, traders, and other road users.

Following the inspection, the MCE expressed concern about the condition of the road and the challenges it posed to residents and other users. As an interim measure, the road has now been reshaped to improve accessibility and ease the difficulties faced by road users while awaiting the commencement of permanent reconstruction works.

The MCE commended the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Kofi Afful Benteh, for his relentless efforts in securing the inclusion of the Asawinso–Kojina road under H.E. President John Dramani Mahama's Big Push Agenda.

The reshaping of the road is expected to provide temporary relief to residents and road users while efforts continue towards the full execution of the permanent reconstruction project.
