The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) on 24th September, 2024 sensitised Spacial Planning Committee and Technical Sub Committee of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly on its revised Physical Planning Department Operational and Procedure Manual.
The Two-day programme, which was held at the Municipal Assembly Hall was for participants to discuss the various modules in the revised Operational and Procedure Manual and to share best practices to enhance its full operationalisation in the Municipality.
The sensitization programme is a collaboration between the OHLGS, the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority (LUSPA), and the Physical Planning Department.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Fred B. Kpodo who delivered a speech on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive said the programme was organized to train the members on the revised operational and procedural Manual on the standardized sequence of seeking land use and spatial planning services in the Municipality.
The facilitators and Resource Persons took participants through the modules in the Manual on topics such as the procedure for development permit, procedure for the preparation structure and local plans, procedure for street naming and property addressing, Procedure for Establishing and Management of roads among others.
