The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly (SWMA) on Monday, 29th September 2025, held a Finance and Administration (F&A) Sub-Committee Meeting at the Municipal Assembly Hall. The meeting, which commenced at 9:30 a.m., was chaired by the F&A Sub-Committee Chairman, Mr. Alexander Adjei Nkrumah.

Key items discussed included:

  • The Proposed 2026 Fee-Fixing Resolution

  • The Proposed 2026 Revenue Estimate

  • The Proposed 2026 Expenditure Estimate

  • The Proposed 2026 Revenue Improvement Action Plan (RIAP)

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nkrumah stressed on the importance of effective financial planning and prudent resource management to support the Assembly’s development agenda. He urged members to actively contribute to the deliberations to ensure that the proposed estimates and policies reflect the needs of the Municipality.

The Finance and Administration Sub-Committee serves as a crucial body within the Assembly, responsible for reviewing the financial outlook, revenue strategies, and expenditure plans before they are submitted to the General Assembly for approval.

This meeting provided a platform for members to assess the Assembly’s fiscal position for 2026, identify opportunities to improve revenue mobilization, and ensure that expenditure planning is aligned with the Municipality’s development priorities.

The outcomes of the meeting are expected to guide the financial decisions of the Assembly in the upcoming year, ultimately shaping service delivery and development initiatives across the Municipality.
