On the 27th January, 2023, the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) and the Ghana Statistical Service organized a one-day training workshop on DLREV mobile application for data collection in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.
Nine(9) enumerators were trained on how to collect business data to improve Internally Generated Fund(IGF) mobilisation in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.
The Municipal Finance Officer, Mr. Sylvester Adiku represented the Coordinating Director at the workshop. He urged all the enumerators to fully participate in the Training Workshop to collect accurate business data for effective IGF mobilisation drive to ensure holist development in the Municipality.
Mr. Isaac Banson (Municipal Revenue Head), Mr. Isaac Kwabena Antwi (Assistant Development Planning Officer and Mr. Abraham Obosu from Ghana Statistical Service were the Resource Persons for the training workshop.
Mr. Isaac Banson took the enumerators through how to use the DLREV mobile application for data collection. He taught the enumerators how to sign in into the DLREV system and how to use the search, location and map features of the mobile app to collect accurate business data. Mr. Abraham Obuso also examined the participants to ascertain their level of understanding on how to use the mobile app to collect accurate business data for the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.
In a nutshell, the training workshop was very fruitful and successful. It gave the enumerators the opportunity to explore the DLREV system to collect accurate business data for effective revenue mobilisation drive in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality. It will also help the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly to increase her IGF inflows for a holistic development drive for the populace.
