The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has donated 50 bags of cement and 4 packets of roofing sheets to the people of Mile 3 and Mile 5 communities in support of their ongoing self-help projects.

The support, made directly to community leaders, is aimed at encouraging residents’ efforts to mobilize and undertake development projects for themselves.

Hon. Gyasi said the donation was part of the Assembly’s commitment to promoting grassroots participation in development. He praised the initiative of the people of Mile 3 and Mile 5, noting that self-help projects demonstrate unity, hard work, and community ownership of development.

“Government alone cannot meet all community needs at once, but when people come together to start their own projects, it becomes our duty as leaders to support them. That is why I am happy to provide these materials to help push your efforts forward,” he stated.

He further assured the communities of the Assembly’s readiness to provide additional assistance where possible and encouraged them to maintain the same spirit of cooperation in future projects.

Community leaders at Mile 3 and Mile 5 expressed appreciation to the MCE for the donation, describing it as timely and motivating. They pledged to use the materials effectively and to sustain the momentum of their self-help development drive.
