HON. DOMINIC GYASI INSPECTS ONGOING DRILLING OF MECHANIZED BOREHOLE AT SEFWI AHWIAA

The Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, on Wednesday 21^st January, 2026 inspected the ongoing drilling of a mechanized borehole at Sefwi Ahwiaa as part of efforts to improve access to potable water in communities within the Municipality.

The inspection was to assess the progress of work, ensure compliance with project specifications, and reaffirm the Assembly’s commitment to the timely and quality completion of the project. Hon. Dominic Gyasi interacted with the contractors on site and urged them to adhere strictly to approved standards and timelines.

He noted that the project at Sefwi Ahwiaa is one of ten (10) mechanized borehole projects currently being executed across the Municipality to address water challenges and improve the living conditions of residents.

When completed, the borehole will provide a reliable source of clean drinking water for the people of Sefwi Ahwiaa and nearby communities, contributing significantly to improved public health and socio-economic development.
