HON. DOMINIC GYASI INSPECTS PROGRESS OF WORK AT TEMPORARY MARKET SITE IN ASAWINSO

The Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, on Wednesday, 6th May 2026, inspected the ongoing works at the new site designated for the relocation of Asawinso market traders.
The inspection is intended to facilitate the timely relocation of traders and ensure readiness for the commencement of the proposed 24-hour economy market, a key initiative aimed at boosting commercial activities and improving livelihoods within the Municipality.
During the visit, the MCE assessed the progress of work on site to ensure it is adequately prepared to accommodate traders and support smooth business operations.
Hon. Dominic Gyasi emphasized the importance of the project in enhancing market infrastructure and creating expanded economic opportunities for traders. He further assured that the Assembly remains committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all affected traders.
The relocation of traders to the new site is expected to facilitate the timely commencement of the 24-hour economy market project and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the Asawinso community and the municipality at large.
