The Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has engaged residents of Ahokwa as part of his ongoing community engagement drive aimed at deepening grassroots participation in local governance and development.

The engagement brought together traditional leaders, community elders, youth groups, women’s groups, and other stakeholders to discuss key challenges affecting the community. Issues raised included the need for improved road access, better sanitation facilities, educational and Health infrastructures, and youth employment opportunities.

Hon. Gyasi used the forum to brief residents on ongoing and planned development projects within the Municipality and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to addressing community needs through inclusive planning and stakeholder collaboration. He encouraged residents to actively participate in development initiatives and to take collective responsibility for maintaining public facilities.

“We are here to listen and to work with you. Your input helps us prioritize projects that will bring real impact to your community,” he noted.

Residents welcomed the engagement and commended the MCE for bringing governance closer to the people. They pledged their support for the Assembly’s development efforts and called for regular interactions to ensure their concerns are continuously addressed.
