HON. EVANS ACKAAH RE-ELECTED AS PRESIDING MEMBER FOR SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

Hon. Evans Ackaah has been re-elected as the Presiding Member for the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly following a successful election conducted at an official Assembly sitting.

The election, which forms part of the Assembly’s governance processes under the Local Governance framework, was conducted by the Electoral Commission at the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Hall. The election featured competition from Hon. Ebenezer Nyame. After a competitive process, Hon. Ackaah secured the required votes, retaining the confidence of Assembly Members to continue in his role.

His re-election reflects the trust and satisfaction of members in his leadership, neutrality, and ability to effectively steer the affairs of the Assembly.

In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Ackaah expressed profound gratitude to Assembly Members for the renewed mandate and pledged to continue working diligently to promote unity, discipline, and effective deliberations within the Assembly. He emphasized his commitment to upholding transparency, fairness, and adherence to laid-down procedures in the discharge of his duties.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, congratulated the Presiding Member on his re-election and commended both candidates for a peaceful and democratic process. He assured the Presiding Member of management’s continuous support and reiterated the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to drive development in the Municipality.
