Thirty Senior High School students in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency, who benefited from an educational sponsorship package by the Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, have successfully completed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The initiative was designed to support brilliant but financially challenged students who risked missing the exams due to financial difficulties. The MP fully covered their registration fees and related expenses to ensure that every beneficiary had the opportunity to sit for the examinations.

Although Hon. Afful could not be present in person, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, represented him and delivered his message of encouragement to the students.

Speaking on behalf of the MP, Hon. Gyasi congratulated the beneficiaries for successfully completing their exams and urged them to remain focused on their next steps in life.

“Hon. Afful believes that education is the key to transforming lives and building the future of our constituency. He is proud of your hard work and determination, and he encourages you to pursue higher education or skills training to secure a brighter future,” the MCE said.

Some of the students, visibly grateful, expressed their appreciation to Hon. Afful for the timely intervention. They noted that without the sponsorship, sitting for the exams would have been a major challenge.

The initiative reflects Hon. Afful’s broader vision of empowering the youth through education and skills development, ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent young people from reaching their full potential.
