STOOL LANDS OFFICIALS PAY COURTESY CALL ON SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY.

A monitoring team, made up of officials from the Stool Lands (Head Office- Accra and Western North Region) and Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources on Thursday, 23rd July, 2026 paid a courtesy call on the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and promote the effective management and administration of stool lands within the Municipality.
The visit provided an opportunity for the officials to engage the Assembly on matters relating to the utilisation of Stool Lands Funds and the challenges encountered in the management and implementation of development projects funded through the resources.
During the engagement, the officials sought to ascertain how Stool Lands Funds received by the Assembly had been utilised to support development initiatives and projects across the Municipality. They also proposed the labelling of physical projects funded through Stool Lands Funds to improve visibility, public awareness, and accountability, enabling residents to easily identify projects undertaken with the support of the funds.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Fred B. Kpodo expressed their appreciation to the officials for the visit and the engagement. They emphasised that it has always been the practice of the Assembly to ensure that Stool Lands Funds are judiciously utilised for the intended development purposes and pledged to maintain this commitment in the utilisation of subsequent funds received. They however pleaded for timely disbursement of funds to enable the Assembly execute capital projects.
