People in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality welcomed the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Sugandh Rajaram, in a colorful traditional ceremony at the Okogyeabour Fie (Omamhene’s Palace).
He visited the Municipality to explore business opportunities and build a new friendship between India and Sefwi on how to enhance their economic fortunes.
His visit becomes historic, since he is the first High Commissioner to make an official visit to the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality in the Western North region.
The High Commissioner was welcomed by the Omanhene of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council (Katakyie Kwasi Bumangama II) and his elders, Hon. Richard Obeng (Western North Regional Minister) Hon. Louis Owusu – Agyepong (Municipal Chief Executive, Sefwi Wiawso), Mr. Ebenezer Boateng (Western North Regional Coordinating Director), Mr. Joseph K..Baah-Darkoh (Municipal Coordinating Director, Sefwi Wiawso), Western North Regional Directors of State Institutions, Students and the General Public.
