In a heartfelt demonstration of concern and solidarity, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Louis Owusu-Agyepong, visited Kramokrom Primary School on 25th May, 2023, where an old and unused School building tragically collapsed following a heavy rainfall incident on May 24th, 2023.

Accompanied by a team from the District Police Command, NADMO, Municipal Works Department and Municipal Education Directorate, the MCE and the team arrived early in the morning to assess the extent of the damage.

Expressing profound sympathy for the injured students, teachers, and their families, the MCE assured them of the Assembly's unwavering commitment to supporting their recovery process. Hon. Louis Owusu-Agyepong stated, "Our hearts go out to the students, teachers, and parents affected by this unfortunate incident. We will spare no effort in providing the necessary assistance to ensure a safe learning environment for our children."

During the visit, the MCE engaged in discussions with school authorities and local community representatives to assess immediate needs and formulate a comprehensive plan moving forward. One of the key discussions revolved around demolition of the remaining portion of the old building and the provision of an additional three-unit classroom block to augment the existing facilities.

With the support and commitment of all stakeholders, the affected students, teachers, and their families can look forward to a restored and secure learning environment, where their aspirations can flourish once again.
