The Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, together with officials from Ghana Goldbod, on wednesday, 12th November, 2025 paid a working visit to the Asawinso Senior High School and the Penakrom Health Centre.

The visit formed part of efforts by the company to identify areas where it can offer support to institutions and communities within the Municipality. During the engagement, the team interacted with school authorities and health personnel to assess their key needs and challenges.

At Asawinso SHS, discussions focused on improving infrastructure, particularly the construction of an Assembly hall, as the school currently lacks one. The team also toured the Penakrom Health Centre, where management highlighted major challenges, including the absence of a permanent facility, as the centre currently operates from a rented apartment.

The MCE expressed appreciation to Goldbod for their commitment to complementing the Assembly’s development efforts across sectors, commending the company’s willingness to support both educational and health institutions, as well as other areas that promote the overall well-being of residents.

Goldbod officials noted that the visit would guide their corporate social responsibility (CSR) interventions, which are not limited to health and education but also extend to other sectors aimed at fostering holistic community development and improving the living standards of people across the country.
