The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly, Hon. Dominic Gyasi outlined ambitious development plans for the Municipality and extended a warm invitation to all Sefwi indigenes in Accra and the diaspora to return home for the upcoming CocoaCity Experience Festival. The MCE made the announcement during an exclusive interview on Radio XYZ in Accra.
The engagement, held as part of the Assembly’s outreach and public engagement efforts, offered the MCE an opportunity to share updates on ongoing projects and future initiatives aimed at transforming Sefwi Wiawso into a model Municipality.
Speaking with passion and optimism, the MCE highlighted key development priorities including road rehabilitation, improved healthcare delivery, enhanced sanitation, youth and women empowerment, and local economic growth. He explained that the Assembly is working diligently to upgrade community facilities and create opportunities that will improve the living conditions of residents.
A major highlight of the interview was the announcement of the maiden CocoaCity Experience Festival, an annual celebration of Sefwi Wiawso’s rich cocoa heritage, culture, and creativity. The MCE described the festival as a platform to showcase the Municipality’s tourism potential, promote local products, and attract investment to the area.
“The CocoaCity Experience Festival is more than an event; it’s a celebration of who we are as a people,” the MCE said. “I want to take this opportunity to invite all Sefwi indigenes living in Accra, across the country, and even in the diaspora to come home and be part of this unique experience. Let’s come together to celebrate Sefwi pride and unity.”
Listeners of Radio XYZ responded with excitement, applauding the MCE’s proactive communication and commitment to development. Many described his invitation as a heartfelt call for unity and homecoming.
