Day Three of the Cocoa City Experience was filled with excitement, colour, and cultural pride as secondary and tertiary institutions across the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality took center stage in a vibrant cultural display competition. The event, held at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly, showcased the rich heritage, creativity, and artistic talent of students, marking one of the most interactive and energetic moments of the festival.
The lively atmosphere drew a large crowd made up of students, parents, traditional leaders, Assembly officials, and residents, all cheering passionately for their preferred schools.
The competition provided a platform for students to explore and promote the unique traditions of the Sefwi people and Ghana at large. Performances featured traditional dances such as Adowa, Kete, Sefwi cultural displays, drumming ensembles, and skits that depicted historical and contemporary themes related to cocoa, culture, and community life.
Judges evaluated the performances based on creativity, cultural authenticity, stage coordination, costume presentation, and overall impact. Many spectators praised the impressive blend of innovation and tradition exhibited by the competing schools.
The event ended with cheers, dance, and a strong sense of community pride. Participants and spectators lauded the Assembly for integrating educational and cultural elements into the Cocoa City Experience, making it a truly inclusive festival.
