SEFWI WIAWSO MP AND MCE HONOUR SEFWI LAWELKROM TEACHER SHORTLISTED FOR NATIONAL BEST TEACHER AWARDS

The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, in collaboration with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has jointly recognized and celebrated Miss Linda Owusu Korkor, a teacher at Nana Frimpong Manso KG/Primary School in Sefwi Wiawso Lawelkrom, who has been shortlisted for the prestigious National Best Teacher Awards.


The presentation was held at the MCE’s office, where the MP and MCE presented a plaque of honour to Miss Owusu Korkor for her dedication to teaching and her unblemished service record. They praised her for raising the standard of education in the municipality and for serving as a role model to both colleagues and pupils.


Hon. Afful stated that, as the representative of the people, it was important to celebrate Miss Owusu Korkor before the national recognition, stressing that teachers remain the backbone of national development. He expressed confidence that her passion and commitment would make her a strong contender for the national award.


The MCE, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, added that the recognition was not only a personal honour for Miss Owusu Korkor but also a source of pride for the entire municipality. He assured that the Assembly remains committed to supporting hardworking teachers and improving educational infrastructure to enhance learning outcomes across its jurisdiction.


Miss Owusu Korkor, deeply moved by the recognition, expressed her appreciation to both the MP and the MCE for the honour. She pledged to continue working diligently to positively impact the lives of the children entrusted to her care.
