SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY COMMEMORATES MAY DAY FOR WORKERS

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly joined millions across the country in commemorating Workers’ Day with a vibrant and reflective ceremony that honored the invaluable contributions of workers within the Municipality.
The event, held at the Wiawso College of Education School Field, brought together staff of the Municipal Assembly, representatives of various labor unions, public servants, and invited guests. The celebration paid tribute to the resilience, dedication, and achievements of Ghanaian workers.
During his speech, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, praised workers for their unwavering commitment to maintaining the functions of the municipality and advancing local development. He highlighted the vital role of collaboration, discipline, and creativity in providing effective public services and improving the quality of life for residents.
“Today is not just a holiday; it is a moment to reflect on the hard work and sacrifices of the workers who form the backbone of our progress as a Municipality and as a Nation,” Hon. Gyasi remarked.
The celebration featured a variety of activities, including a health screening exercise, staff awards ceremony, and a football competition in which Hon. Gyasi served as captain of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly team . Outstanding employees were honored for their dedication and exemplary service, receiving citations and modest gifts as tokens of appreciation.
The event concluded on a high note, with a renewed spirit of unity and purpose among the workforce as they pledged to continue serving the people of Sefwi Wiawso with diligence and professionalism.
