SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY EDUCATES STAKEHOLDERS ON PLANTING FOR FOOD AND JOBS 2.0 REGISTRATION


The Department of Food and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly, conducted a sensitization workshop for farmers in the Municipality on April 18th, 2024. This workshop aimed to inform and engage stakeholders about the ongoing registration exercise for the Planting for Food and Jobs 2.0 initiative.


Following the National launch of the registration exercise by the Hon. Minister for Food and Agriculture on March 11th, 2024, the Assembly took proactive steps to ensure that farmers in the Municipality are well-informed about the program and its benefits.


The workshop provided an opportunity for farmers to learn about the objectives of the Planting for Food and Jobs 2.0 initiative, including its focus on increasing agricultural productivity, enhancing food security, and creating employment opportunities in the agricultural sector.


The Agric Director in his presentation outlined the registration process, eligibility criteria, and support services available to participating farmers. He also addressed questions and concerns raised by attendees, clarifying any misconceptions and providing guidance on how farmers can effectively enroll in the program.
