SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS RATE ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE MEETING

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly, on Wednesday, 16th April 2025, held a Rate Assessment Committee meeting to evaluate revenue performance and discuss strategic planning for the 2025 fiscal year. The session brought together committee members and revenue collectors, who play a vital role in the Municipality’s revenue mobilization efforts.


Mr. Christian Nkuah, the Municipal Budget Analyst, chaired the meeting on behalf of the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Fred B. Kpodo. Mr. Nkuah also led the presentation and guided members through the discussions.


A central focus of the meeting was the presentation and review of the Assembly’s 2024 Internally Generated Funds (IGF) performance. Management commended the revenue collectors for their hard work, applauding them for achieving an impressive 98.30% of the revenue targets set in the Assembly’s budget.


Also presented and discussed was the 2025 Gazetted Fee-Fixing Resolution, which outlines the approved fees and charges for the year. This document serves as an essential guide to ensure that all collections are done in accordance with established regulations and standards.

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and improved revenue mobilization to support development within the Municipality.
