SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS TENDER COMMITTEE MEETING.

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has held a Tender Committee meeting toapprove the updated Procurement Plan for the second quarter of 2025. The meeting took place at the Municipal Assembly Hall and was chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Dominic Gyasi.


The session brought together key members of the Municipal Tender Committee, including heads of departments, representatives from the Finance and Planning Units, and relevant technical officers. The focus of the meeting was the consideration and approval of proposed procurement activities aligned with the Assembly’s development priorities and budget allocations for the quarter.


Mrs. Diana Quaye, the Municipal Procurement Officer, presented the updated procurement plan to the committee. She provided a detailed breakdown of planned procurement items, works, and services, ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement Act and the Assembly’s budget framework. Her presentation highlighted the importance of timely procurement processes in achieving the Assembly’s goals.


During the discussions, committee members examined the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and prioritization of each proposed item in the plan. They also emphasized the need for transparency, value for money, and adherence to procurement guidelines throughout implementation.


In his remarks, the MCE commended the Procurement Officer for her thorough presentation and encouraged the committee to maintain high standards of accountability in the execution of procurement activities. He reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to efficient public spending that delivers real impact for the people of Sefwi Wiawso.


The meeting concluded with the approval of the second quarter procurement plan, paving the way for timely execution of projects and service delivery within the Municipality.
