SEFWI WIAWSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY LAUNCHES DISTRICT ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME EQUIPMENT


The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, 3rd September, officially launched the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), Equipment. This initiative by the Government of Ghana aims to empower Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the necessary tools and resources to improve road networks across the country.


The launch event was attended by key stakeholders, including Heads of Departments, traditional leaders, clergy, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, and Hon. Assembly Members.

Speaking at the launch, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Louis Owusu-Agyepong, emphasized the importance of good road networks in facilitating trade, access to education, healthcare, and other essential services. He again mentioned the Assembly’s  commitment  to ensuring that even the most remote areas within the Municipality would be accessible through the District Road Improvement Programme. 


With the District Road Improvement Programme set to commence immediately, several key roads in the Municipality have already been identified for rehabilitation as soon as possible.
