The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Friends of the Nation and OXFAM Ghana under the Women Economic Advancement for Collective Transformation (WEACT), organized International Women’s Day celebration in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality on 8th of March 2024 at Buela Garden.
The event was under the sponsorship from Global Affairs Canada with the aim mitigate Gender inequalities and appreciate the contribution of Women and their hard work in the Municipality.
The celebration was also to contributed to enhancing economic empowerment, well-being, and inclusive economic growth for women, including young women.
The celebration also to created change which was transformational in nature and shifted attitudes and cross-sectional behaviors in promoting women economic empowerment under the theme: “Building Inclusiveness to Attain Gender Equality”.
