The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has met with market women at the Dwinase Market to discuss the modalities for allocating stalls in the newly constructed market, with the primary aim of ensuring proper grouping of traders according to the items they sell.

The engagement, led by the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Dominic Gyasi together with officials from the Assembly, sought to introduce a well-organized system that will bring uniformity and order to market activities. By grouping traders based on their line of business—such as foodstuffs, clothing, provisions, vegetables, and other categories—the Assembly hopes to create a more structured, convenient, and customer-friendly trading environment.

Hon. Gyasi explained that the new arrangement will make it easier for customers to locate the items they need, enhance cleanliness, and improve overall market management. He noted that the reorganization is also intended to reduce congestion, improve security, and ensure that the market operates efficiently once the facility is fully occupied.

Market women welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the Assembly’s effort to involve them in the planning process.
