The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly (SWMA) convened its Entity Tender Committee meeting to discuss and approve critical procurement and development projects designed to enhance infrastructure and service delivery across the municipality. The meeting was chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Dominic Gyasi.

During the session, the Committee considered and approved the Revised Third Quarter 2025 Updated Procurement Plan, ensuring all planned projects align with the municipality’s development priorities and budget allocations.

The Committee also reviewed and evaluated reports for four major projects, which were recommended for submission to the Western North Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) for concurrent approval:

The projects are:

i.          Construction and furnishing of a 3-unit classroom block with office, store, toilet facilities, and a female changing room at Nyamendae, aimed at improving educational infrastructure.

ii.          Construction and furnishing of a CHPS compound with a 3-bedroom apartment at Essakrom-Kojina, to strengthen healthcare delivery in the community.

iii.          Completion of a 2-storey maternity block at the Sefwi Wiawso Government Hospital, enhancing maternal health services and patient care.

iv.          Drilling and mechanization of 10 boreholes across ten communities — Futa, Kojina, Nsuonsua, Ahwiaa, Anhwiam, Anyinabrem, Bungalow, Camp, Punikrom, and Kwasi Addaekrom — to provide access to clean and safe water for residents.

In his remarks, Hon. Gyasi emphasized the importance of transparent evaluation, timely execution, and strict adherence to procurement guidelines, while ensuring quality and value for money in all contracted works.
