The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has held an Executive Committee Meeting as part of its statutory mandate to deliberate on key issues and advance the development of the Municipality.

The meeting was primarily convened to consider and review recommendations from the various Sub-Committees of the Assembly. These recommendations, which cover key sectors such as development planning, social services, works, finance and administration, as well as justice and security, were thoroughly discussed by members.

The meeting brought together members of the Executive Committee, including the Municipal Chief Executive, Municipal Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments and Units, Chairmen of various Sub-Committees and other stakeholders, to assess the proposals and make appropriate decisions before forwarding them to the General Assembly for final approval.

Speaking at the meeting, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, who also double as the chairman for the committee, emphasized the importance of critical review and collective decision-making in ensuring that the recommendations align with the development needs of the Municipality. He urged members to contribute effectively to discussions to enhance the quality of decisions taken.

The Executive Committee plays a crucial role in the Assembly’s governance structure, as it scrutinizes and refines recommendations from Sub-Committees before they are presented to the General Assembly.
