SWMA HOLDS FARMERS’ DAY PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly on Thursday, 13th Nov. 2025 held a Farmers’ Day Planning Committee meeting as part of preparations towards the celebration of the 2025 National Farmers’ Day. The meeting, which took place at the Assembly Hall, brought together key stakeholders including departmental heads, agricultural officers, security representatives to discuss plans and logistics for a successful event.
The meeting was chaired by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Fred B. Kpodo who commended members for their commitment and emphasized the importance of effective collaboration in organizing a memorable celebration that honors the invaluable contributions of farmers to local and national development.
Discussions focused on key areas such as award categories, sponsorship arrangements, publicity strategies, and welfare considerations for participating farmers.
Committee members shared ideas on how to make the event more impactful by showcasing local agricultural products, promoting agribusiness opportunities, and highlighting innovations in modern farming practices within the municipality.
In closing, the Coordinating Director urged all departments and stakeholders to work together to ensure the success of the upcoming Farmers’ Day celebration, which remains a major platform to recognize and reward the hard work, resilience, and dedication of farmers across the Municipality and the National as a whole.
