The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has held its first 2025 Independence Day Anniversary Committee meeting as part of preparations for the upcoming 6th March celebrations.
The meeting brought together key officers, including Municipal officials, security agencies, educational representatives to deliberate on plans, logistics, and activities for this year’s Independence Day event in the Municipality.
In line with the President’s directive regarding the 2025 Independence Day commemoration, officials discussed alternative events to replace the traditional march-past, which has been the standard practice in previous years. The discussions focused on introducing more engaging and community-centered activities that will not only celebrate Ghana’s heritage but also foster greater public participation and National pride.
The committee emphasized the need for inclusive and innovative programs that reflect the cultural identity of the Municipality while upholding the significance of Ghana’s independence.
