SWMA HOLDS SECOND ORDINARY MEETING OF THE SECOND SESSION OF THE NINTH ASSEMBLY

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has held its Second Ordinary Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Assembly, bringing together Assembly Members, Heads of Department, and key stakeholders to deliberate on important developmental and administrative issues of the Municipality.

The meeting focused on reviewing and approving several key documents and reports presented by the Executive Committee and its Sub-Committees. Among the major items discussed were:

• Recommendations of the Sub-Committees of the Executive Committee

• Draft 2026 Annual Action Plan/UDAP

• Draft 2026 Fee Fixing Resolution

• Draft 2026 Composite Budget

• Draft 2026 Revenue Improvement Action Plan (RIAP)

• 2024 Auditor-General’s Report

The discussions centered on improving revenue generation, promoting transparency, and ensuring effective implementation of planned projects and programs across the Municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, commended Assembly Members and stakeholders for their active participation and contributions, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and accountability in driving local development.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen service delivery, enhance community engagement, and ensure that the Assembly’s plans and policies continue to reflect the needs of residents within the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.
