SWMA HOLDS TENDER COMMITTEE MEETING TO APPROVE 2026 PROCUREMENT PLAN

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has held a Tender Committee meeting to review and approve the Assembly’s Procurement Plan for the 2026 fiscal year. The meeting brought together key officials and committee members responsible for ensuring transparency, value for money, and compliance with the Public Procurement Act.

Chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, the session examined proposed projects, goods, and services the Assembly intends to procure in the coming year. The committee carefully assessed each item in the plan to determine its relevance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the Assembly’s development priorities.

Hon. Gyasi emphasized the importance of proper planning in promoting efficient service delivery and ensuring accountability in the use of public funds. He noted that timely approval of the procurement plan will enable the Assembly to commence early procurement processes, avoid delays, and implement projects smoothly throughout the year.

The approved 2026 Procurement Plan is expected to guide the Assembly’s expenditures and development activities for the next fiscal year, contributing to improved infrastructure, service delivery, and overall Municipal growth.
