The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly has successfully organized a town hall meeting at Asawinso to engage residents on key developmental issues and ongoing projects within the Municipality.

The meeting brought together community members, traditional leaders, Heads of Departments/Units, and other stakeholders to discuss progress made, challenges faced, and plans for future development. Residents were given the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and make suggestions directly to the Assembly.

Key topics discussed included infrastructure development, water and sanitation, education, healthcare delivery, and local economic opportunities.

Notably, the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, was in attendance. He commended residents of Asawinso and its environs for their massive turnout for the program.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, took time to deliver a comprehensive presentation, outlining key projects, achievements, and future plans of the Assembly.

Both the MP and the MCE jointly responded to all the questions raised by residents, providing detailed explanations and assurances on issues of concern. Their collaborative engagement demonstrated a unified approach to addressing the needs of the community.

Additionally, the proposed 24-hour economy market project to be constructed at Asawinso was discussed. The project is expected to boost local economic activities, create employment opportunities, and enhance trading within the area when completed.

The Municipal Chief Executive also emphasized the importance of community participation in governance and encouraged residents to continue collaborating with the Assembly to drive development.
