SWMA LADIES ASSOCIATION BIDS FAREWELL TO MUNICIPAL COORDINATING DIRECTOR

The Ladies Association of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, 19th August 2026, bade farewell to the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Fred B. Kpodo, following his recent posting out of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly. The important ceremony graced by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi.
The event brought together Heads of Departments and Units, members of the Ladies Association and staff of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly to celebrate Mr. Kpodo's service and contributions to the Assembly during his tenure as Municipal Coordinating Director.
In his remarks, Mr. Kpodo noted that ideally, his family should have been with him when he came to Sefwi Wiawso, but circumstances did not make that possible. He said he therefore considered the staff of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly as his family throughout his tenure.
He expressed appreciation to staff for their support, cooperation and the strong relationship they developed during his time at the Assembly. Mr. Kpodo assured staff that although he was leaving, he would not allow the relationship built with the Assembly and its staff to end.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, in his remarks, acknowledged the important role Mr. Kpodo played in his transition into office. He noted that Mr. Kpodo was the person who welcomed him when he assumed office as Municipal Chief Executive and helped to guide and nurture him in understanding his responsibilities and performing his duties as MCE.
Hon. Gyasi expressed his appreciation to Mr. Kpodo for the guidance, support and institutional knowledge he shared with him, describing his contribution as significant to his work as Municipal Chief Executive.
The MCE, together with the Heads of Departments and Units and staff, joined the Ladies Association in expressing appreciation to Mr. Kpodo for his service, leadership and commitment to the Assembly.
The occasion ended with goodwill messages and expressions of gratitude, as staff wished the outgoing Municipal Coordinating Director success, good health and fulfilment in his future endeavours.
