The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, 25th September 2024, organized a capacity building workshop for its staff, focusing on the importance of performance appraisal. The workshop aimed to equip employees with the skills needed to effectively evaluate and improve performance across various departments and units.
Participants were introduced to the Local Government Service's appraisal techniques, goal-setting strategies, and methods for providing constructive feedback. The facilitator emphasized the role of performance appraisals in enhancing productivity and fostering professional growth within the Assembly.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Fred Kpodo, in his remarks, stressed the critical role of performance appraisals in promoting accountability, improving productivity, and boosting overall organizational performance. He noted that appraisals not only help identify areas for improvement but also recognize staff achievements, which boosts morale and encourages growth.
Staff members praised the Assembly for the initiative, acknowledging that the training would improve both individual and organizational performance.
