Sefwi Wiawso, Ghana – The Physical Planning Department of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly (SWMA) has embarked on a development control exercise aimed at curbing unauthorized construction and ensuring proper land use within the municipality.
The exercise seeks to enforce zoning regulations, prevent haphazard development, and promote orderly urban planning. It involves inspecting building permits, identifying unauthorized structures, and taking corrective measures to ensure compliance with local planning laws.
Property owners and developers were urged to obtain the necessary permits before undertaking any construction to avoid penalties or demolition of unauthorized structures.
