SWMA SCORES 98% AND PASSES THE CI IN THE 2021 DPAT ASSESSMENT


The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly hosted a two-day assessment of the annual District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) for all MMDAs in the Nation to evaluate the Assembly's performance for the year 2021.

The evaluation of MMDAs is a component of attempts to enhance the effectiveness, accountability, and provision of fundamental community services by District Assemblies. The assessment indicators included compliance, social service delivery and performance.

An exit conference was held at the Municipal Assembly Hall to announce to the Assembly its performance for the year 2021.

In attendance was the MCE, Hon. Louis Owusu - Agyepong, the Presiding Member, Hon. Martha Awuah, the MCD, Mr. Joseph K. Baah - Darkoh, Heads of Departments/Units, and staff of the Assembly.

The DPAT team leader Mr. Dasanah read the thematic areas and their respective marks. He indicated that overall, the Assembly's performance for the 2021 assessment was an outstanding 98% and has also passed the CI.

The team provided suggestions on how to enhance the performance of its local economic development initiative, zonal council, activity report, and a variety of other tasks related to the execution of its mandate. They also lauded the staff of the Assembly for their preparedness and promptness during the assessment.

The MCE thanked the team for their professionalism and counsel and assured them that the Assembly will take their recommendations into account while carrying out its duties. He concluded by expressing his gratitude to the Assembly's staff for working tirelessly to reach this position.
